Hill Station

Hill Station is a performance that explores the dynamic between the 'Explorer' and his 'Sherpas'. This performance draws on the common assumption associated with this interpersonal relationship and performs it by showing how Sherpas have helped the Explorer climb up Tunnel Mountain (Banff) by carrying him and his baggage. Once at the summit, the Explorer celebrates the adventure and discovery by having tea while Sherpas sing for him. Sherpas get a certificate of authenticity for their efforts from the Explorer.
